It's a good product to add shine, and it does tame flyaways (though nothing like conventional sticky pomade). I don't feel comfortable putting too much on my flyways because then it looks too greasy near my roots. I think I'll just use this more on my ends as a heat protectant and to add shine. Smell is a nice floral scent, must be the gardenia, and not too overpowering.

Great styling power and shine

I was recently on thyroid medication that resulted in some undesirable side effects, one of which being hair shedding. Now being off that medication, I am starting to have new hair growth (YAY) resulting of many baby hairs sticking up straight off my scalp. I was always looking like someone just rubbed my hair with a static-y towel. I ordered this on a whim, hoping it would help smooth my hair, and I am happy to report it worked! It also provided a decent amount of shine but not too much that it made me look greasy. The product feels like it will be very moisturizing as well so I am going to try it on my split ends. I love that it is a solid balm as well making it good for travel. Overall very happy with this purchase
