Our CEO:
Cassandra Thurswell came from a small town in Wisconsin to Los Angeles with the hopes of creating something meaningful. Since she was young, Cassandra had dreamed of curating a business that produced easy-to-use, unique products accessible to everyone. She spent countless hours thinking of the ways that she could touch people’s lives by providing them with the best products on the market, while connecting from an approachable yet aspirational point of view. She kept thinking about that hometown girl, the everyday person who needs a touch of luxury at an affordable price. At the age of 25, armed with containers of carefully constructed hair ties and fierce determination, Cassandra started Kitsch by the bootstraps. Kitsch is a company built on intuition and imagination, that has now grown into a woman-owned powerhouse. Cassandra remains devoted to maintaining a thoughtful rapport with her customers, instilling positivity, originality, and strength into her business. She started by hand-making all of her products in her tiny Los Angeles apartment, making cold calls, and doing door to door sales, and it has become Kitsch’s mission to maintain that same level of care and passion on a worldwide scale. For Cassandra, Kitsch is so much more than a brand, it is an opportunity to create a lasting connection with customers.
