Kitsch - Our Founder
Cassandra Thurswell is a small-town girl from Wisconsin with big dreams. She wanted everyone to be able to access little indulgences at affordable prices. She moved to Los Angeles and began making handmade hair ties that she sold door-to-door and creating products for major chain stores. Though she had a lot to learn about how to run a successful business, she knew she had something the big names didn’t have - an intimate connection with the lives of everyday beauty consumers.
Cassandra's intuition told her that if she could give these consumers what they wanted in a sustainable way, she could really click. She began striking a sweet spot between mindfulness and manufacturing. She bootstrapped her business and scaled up gradually over time. Always staying in contact with her community and their desires. She would seek out ways to create better versions of the everyday items people reach for again and again.
Cassandra founded her own brand, Kitsch, which is a beauty powerhouse built on positivity and pure hard work. She wants her community to know that whatever happens, she will be ready with easy, fun beauty solutions that are totally reliable and practical, but also truly special, and made as sustainably as possible.
