We understand that not everyone fits into a box of dry or oily skin types, and with changes in weather, hormones and stress, your skin just may not want to cooperate. That's why we have developed MIXOLOGY. By listening to your skin, and blending your perfect combinations, you will have the freedom to move through life's changes with grace. 

Working with these products for over 20 years in a luxury spa setting and giving thousands of facials, we have a few beautiful "Mixology" combinations that really work. We encourage your adventurous spirit to try your own combinations - our men love using Clarity with Ashes for an ultra lux shaving cream! Seriously, the possibilities are endless.

A NOTE ON HOW TO USE ASHES

Many of the beauty blends below use Ashes Reincarnation Cleansing Grains. So here's our best tip:

When using Ashes in any combination you want the blend to have plenty of movement. The trick is adding enough water and using just a little sprinkle of Ashes. Ashes goes a very long way. You may want to practice just getting Ashes right before blending so that you don't waste product. Start with a tiny sprinkle of Ashes in the palm of your hand, add a little water and move the mixture around with your fingertips. You want it to feel like silk and not at all sticky. If it's sticky, add water until it moves freely and has a light, silky texture.

EXFOLIATION

Even sensitive, sunburned or irritated skin needs exfoliation. Proper exfoliation is KEY to healthy, vibrant, toned skin. Try these combinations to gently clear skin of unwanted waste while retaining balance and hydration.

MIXOLOGY BRIGHTENING BLEND / Ashes + Sand

In the palm of your hand, add a dab of  Sand Red Mineral Polish (exfoliate) and lightly sprinkle a little Ashes Reincarnation Cleansing Grains on top. Add a few drops of water and blend together, creating an amazing, fluffy creamy cleansing compound that will effectively remove dead skin build up without causing redness or irritation. 

Apply the mixture using your fingertips and move it in sweeping, circular motions around the entire face and neck area. We love to let this mixture rest on our skin for a few minutes before gently removing with a warm, wet washcloth.

MIXOLOGY SUNSHINE BLEND / Ashes + Honey Bee

For sunburned, acne prone, dry or irritated skin, we love to combine  Ashes Reincarnation Cleansing Grains with our Honey Bee Revelation Mask and a little water. This combination is incredibly hydrating, healing and clearing – the vitamin C in the Ashes mixes with the sugar in the honey to act as a gentle exfoliant. Your skin will feel so smooth and supple after using this combination. 

Mix these key ingredient in the palm of your hand and add enough water to increase its movement. Apply to the entire face and neck area. Using a light touch, move the blend with your fingertips in small, circular motions. Let it rest on your skin for up to 2 minutes to heal and soften. Remove completely with a warm, wet washcloth.

MIXOLOGY REVELATION BLEND / Ashes + Honey Dew

We find that between seasons or during certain times of the month, our skin begins to look ruddy and a little dull. Our favorite mixology trick for this is to cleanse with  Honey Dew Youth Serum and Ashes Reincarnation Cleansing Grains. The citrus in the Honey Dew mixes with the fizz of the Ashes to create an amazing alpha hydroxyl cleansing compound that brings clarity and strength back to the skin. It's incredibly effective in diminishing age spots and scarring.

Pump a quarter size amount of Honey Dew into the palm of your hand. Sprinkle with Ashes and use your fingertips to blend. Add a little water so that the mixture moves and has a silky texture. Using your fingertips, apply to the entire face and neck area using a soft pressing motion. This motion helps to plump the skin and increase collagen production. Let rest for a few minutes before removing with a warm, wet washcloth.

DEEP HYDRATION

We all need different levels of hydration at different times. This need can change from morning to evening, day to day, season to season etc. A woman has special needs and her natural rhythms can change her skin in an instant. The same face cream may not always meet our needs and wouldn't it be great if we had options and could adapt our skincare routine instantly? We love that idea!

MIXOLOGY MOONSHINE BLEND / Clarity + Rain

When our skin is feeling parched and dry, we simply add a drop of Rain Replenishing Oil Wash to Clarity Awakening Face Cream. Rain is a special blend of oils that won't clog your pores but will penetrate into the deepest layers of the skin to give you extra nourishment and healing. It's our go-to night cream. Use it in the evening after cleansing to regenerate your cells, lift your skin and awaken feeling hydrated. Clarity cools and calms every skin type and brings it into a state of rest and renewal. It's not just for dry skin - it's the perfect remedy to bring balance to oily skin types as Rain regulates the over production of oils and brings your skin into a natural state of happiness and harmony.

MIXOLOGY SUNLIGHT BLEND / Honey Dew + Rain

Combining  Honey Dew Youth Serum with a drop or of Rain Replenishing Oil Wash creates an ultra-light face moisturizer that creates a barrier from environmental damage while allowing the free transfer of oxygen so your skin can breathe. It's perfect for coastal living, or just as a light, hydrating blend for those warm summer days.

MAKEUP REMOVAL

MIXOLOGY MOVEMENT BLEND / Clarity + Ashes

Removing the unmovable. Love the new makeup that won't rub off onto your clothes or your sweetie but at the end of the day you find it also wont wash off of your skin? Our little mixology trick is to add a little  Clarity Awakening Face Cream to your Ashes Reincarnation Cleansing Grains. The moisturizing oils in Clarity will break the unbreakable bond of the makeup and mascara leaving your skin clean and free of any pore clogging residue.

EXTRA TIP: Oil Cleansing

RAIN Replenishing Oil Wash used alone, is one of the most powerful makeup removers we have found.

SKIN FIRMING

To show or not to show? Want to wear the perfect shorts, little black dress or skirt but your skin is looking a little dull and no matter how much lotion you slather on it doesn't seem to penetrate?

We have two mixology beauty blends that will give your skin an extra boost of hydration, firm and tone, and leave you with a beautiful, natural, healthy glow.

MIXOLOGY FOUNDATION BLEND / Sand + Radiance + Ashes + Breeze

Exfoliation is the key. Using a warm, moist wash cloth, blend a dab of  Radiance Enlivening Body Cream with a dab of Sand Red Mineral Polish and and sprinkle it with Ashes Reincarnation Cleansing Grains. Add a few drops of Breeze Revival Mist until you have a creamy cleansing compound. Step into the shower, dot your entire body with the cleansing compound on the wash cloth from shoulders down and begin at the toes with circular motions to rub the cleansing compound until entire body is covered. Rinse thoroughly. Exfoliating with this combination will free your skin of dead skin build up allowing circulation and oxygen to flow through every cell to rejuvenate and renew your skin.
