Spring Means Beautiful Skin
Say goodbye to winter with a new skincare routine
Spring cleaning means dusting away the cobwebs, shedding the dark weight of winter, opening windows and breathing the scent of blooming flowers. Your skin wants something new as well. As we naturally change the types of food we eat and the clothes we wear, it’s also time for changes to our skincare.
This is a good time for cleansers with exfoliating power. I'm not fond of commercial foaming cleansers. They tend to be drying, and made with ingredients we don’t need on our skin. My Foaming Cleanser is comprised of wonderful ingredients, and you've got the extra benefit of exfoliation.
Try our earthy Moroccan Red Rose Exfoliating/Foaming Cleanser
I use three types of clay, Himalayan salts, and many herbs I grind myself. The added hydrosols and essential oils create an inspiring aromatic effect.
If you’re a lover of our Pineapples & Cream Cleansing Milk or the newest addition to our line of cleansers, the fresh and sparkling Aloe & Pink Grapefruit Cleansing Gel, do continue to use them, but if you still need to exfoliate, do so by alternating with one of the cleansers mentioned above or by adding an Exfoliating Facial Scrub, or a Clay Masque to your routine.
Toners tend to be an afterthought for many skincare routines, but their benefits are equal to those of Moisturizing Creams or Serums. Our Toners, floral hydrosols and essential oils, heal your skin along with a fresh sensation and inspiring scent.
Spring Flowers is a lovely calming Toner for sensitive skin, while Roses in Bloom hydrates, and Tangerine Toner, refreshing and uplifting, is useful if you have scent or skin sensitivities. Add a Toner to your routine. The results will inspire you to take better care of your skin.
A Serum is also essential, and while it’s still early for the lighter Serums, this time of year calls for See Me C Repair Serum. Formulated to repair broken capillaries, it also offers a good source of Vitamin C for general skin healing and repair. It is a light serum featuring Marula & Pomegranate Oils, containing powerful antioxidants and essential fatty acids which offer protection from environmental aggressors, help reverse photo-damage, boost cellular activity and hydrate at the deepest levels.
Another wonderful Serum is our Beauty Revitalizing Serum. The name implies the function. With oils like Sea Buckthorn Berry CO2, Evening Primrose, Borage Seed, Carrot and Rose, it delivers nutrition deep into your skin.
Applying a Serum prepares your skin for the more hydrating and sun repairing Serums needed come summer.
There’s still controversy whether Serums or Facial Oils are sufficient, or if Moisturizing Creams are the best option. I’m of the opinion you should use both. Great Moisturizing Creams for spring are Rosemira's Moisturize Me Citrus Restorative Cream or Divine Honey Rose Replenishing Cream and Bella Rose Anti-Wrinkle Cream. If you’re using only one cream, try adding another. Alternate morning and night and feel the nourishing benefits of both.
Last but not least, I recommend adding a Masque to your weekly routine. Masques assist in improving blood and lymph circulation and in reducing inflammation, and are imperative for your skin’s ability to regenerate and look/feel healthy. Grapefruit & Juniper Deep Cleansing Masque is our favorite this time of year. If you have a favorite, use the one you love, or dare to experiment.

Have a happy and beautiful spring,
