What Inspired You to Create Your Brand?
After losing my mom to melanoma skin cancer, I became a big advocate of wearing sunscreen. However, most of the sunscreens on the market use chemical UV blockers and contain a lot of toxic ingredients. It didn’t make sense to me to use these types of sunscreens to prevent skin cancer only to get another kind of cancer. After several years of research and investigation, I decided to develop my own sun care line that uses non-toxic ingredients. With skin cancer on the rise, it was important to me to create a safe sunscreen that felt good, smelled good and came in pretty packaging so that people would use it on a daily basis.
How did you get the idea behind the brand?
I came across the EWG’s Skin Deep Sunscreen Guide and learned that most sunscreens on the market contained toxic ingredients. I started to sell the ones that they rated as safe on my beauty website. After hearing feedback from customers about what they liked and didn’t like about the various sunscreens, I set out on a mission to create a safe sunscreen that people would be motivated to wear on a daily basis…one that smelled good, wasn’t greasy, and wasn’t too white.
What is the story behind the brand name?
Suntegrity has a double meaning: Sunscreen made with integrity & Sunscreen that maintains the integrity of your skin.
What was the first product you created?
Suntegrity All Natural Moisturizing Face Protection SPF 30 was our first product to launch and received a #1 rating by the EWG/Skin Deep Cosmetic Safety Database for its safety and efficacy.

Suntegrity All Natural Moisturizing Face Protection SPF 30 is our “standout” product and our best seller because it is a “3 in 1” product that won numerous awards including the Allure 2013 Best of Beauty Award and the Spa Heroes Expert Selection. It functions as a moisturizer, sunscreen and primer all in one. It also comes in unisex, chic packaging which makes it appealing to both men and women.
Is there a prominent ingredient in your line?
Our active sunscreen ingredient is uncoated, non-nano size zinc-oxide which is therapeutic and great for sensitive and aggravated skin (eczema, rosacea, rashes, sunburn, itching). Zinc oxide in known to help calm rosacea, inflammation, acne and melasma. It is the same ingredient used in calamine lotion, rosacea treatments and rash creams.
We also use hyaluronic acid and a powerful blend of antioxidants (astaxanthin, red algae, green tea, and pomegranate, cucumber) to help moisturize the skin and combat free radical damage that leads to premature aging.
